Alex Christie is a dance artist, yoga instructor, and nonprofit fundraiser. She trained as a competitive dancer before beginning her ballet and modern studies in high school under Jan Woodward at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC. Alex earned her BA in Dance from The New School in New York City, where she performed in works by Ben Munisteri, Karla Wolfangle, Joao Carvalho, Keely Garfield, Rebecca Stenn, Takehiro Ueyama, and Eric Jackson Bradley. She has also presented her own choreography throughout New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Throughout her career, Alex has held several arts leadership roles, including serving on the Junior Board of the San Francisco Ballet (formerly Encore!) and with the National Hub of NACHMO (National Choreography Month). She is passionate about arts accessibility and continues to bridge her professional experience with her commitment to the dance community through her role on the board of the American Dance Guild.
